Dear Pudney,
With reference to your official letter of 10th July, 1948, Palmer and I would be pleased to see you to discuss any question relating to Income Tax, and we should also like to consult you about a prospective candidate for a Tax Assessor, Grade I, post in Hong Kong. If convenient, you may like to call one day next week; I should be grateful if you would let us know when we may expect you.
As regards a possible double taxation relief arrangement between Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, for which provision has been made under Section 50 of the Hong Kong Ordinance No. 20 of 1947, it would, we think, be as well if you discuss matters direct with the Inland Revenus. J.P. Strudwick (Temple Bar 3540, extension 605) is dealing with this subject, and I am sending a copy of this letter to him,
Yours sincerely,
B.V. PUDNEY, ESQ.
